It provides education to currently round about 40 students. On offer are study opportunities at different levels. Offered at Bachelor’s and Master’s level is the degree program “Catholic Church Music“ (B.Mus./M.Mus.). The Master program involves the following concentrations: Choir Conducting, Organ Score-Reading and Sight-Playing, as well as Gregorian Music/German Liturgy Chants. The study offer is complemented by the postgraduate study course “Artistic Education“ in which graduates of an undergraduate study program in Music have the opportunity to develop a profile in individual fields of activity relating to church music service (Voice/Voice Education, Gregorian Music/German Liturgy Chants, Organ Score-Reading and Sight-Playing, Piano/Piano Education). The University’s educational portfolio is rounded off by the so-called C education program, an educational program in church music preparing participants for part-time service as a choir conductor and organ player. On offer is a one-year internal C education program, as well as the two-year external C education program. All applicants must complete an admission examination.
