One way to gain knowledge about the history, methods and techniques of Music is by studying the program “Bachelor of Arts in Catholic Church Music “ at the University of Applied Science for Church Music of the Diocese of Rottenburg. In the full-time eight-semester course participants study subjects like Sociological and Psychological Dimensions of Music, Quantitative Approaches, Historical and Philosophical Dimensions, Form and Style Analysis, Psychological Foundations of Music Education, Music History and others. Musical Education allows students to acquire the necessary skills to understand music and teach others how to understand it. Scholars can follow career options both in the private and public sectors like: vocal coach, musical teacher, leader of a choir or instrumental ensemble, recording artist and many more.
