Description
The full-time, four-semester program “Master of Arts in Catholic church Music with a Focus on Gregorian Chant/German Liturgical Chant” allows students to become masters in Gregorian chant/German liturgical chant. In addition to the keyboard instruments, cantorial and vocal subjects, piano reduction playing the Rottenburg Church Music University course provides practical training at a monastery, cathedral or concert school. Focused courses include liturgy, medieval church history, notation studies and of course Gregorian chant theory. This course prepares scholars for the difficult task of preforming Gregorian chants during catholic holidays and liturgical sessions.
