Description
The Rottenburg Church Music University has an excellent master’s course in Catholic Church Music with focus on liturgical organ playing. With this full-time, four-semester program students with bachelor’s degree can improve their skill in keyboard instruments, organ literature playing, liturgical organ playing, piano or harpsichord. The course also includes cantorial and vocal subjects like organ methodology, choir conducting, choir practice, orchestra conducting, singing. The practical subjects are composition, score playing, continuo practice. Scholars have internship as a basilica organist, cathedral organist or a concert organist and are encouraged to participate in organ competitions. When finished the course graduates can proceed with a career as a liturgical organ player.
