Description
The program “Master of Arts in Gregorian Chant and German Liturgical Chant” is available at the Rottenburg Church Music University. This course is full-time and takes four semesters. Majors in the course are choral schola conducting, Gregorian chant in privatissimum. Chant and choral schola are part of the cantorial and vocal subjects. Focus is placed on the subjects Gregorian chant analysis and paleography, liturgy, direction of choral schola, the internship, as well as public performance of Gregorian chant. Students can choose additional subjects like Latin, children’s voice training and choir direction and many more. This master’s degree prepares the students to become professional Gregorian chant and German liturgical chant performers.
