The six-semester interdisciplinary study program “Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering/ Precision Machining” offered by University of Applied Sciences and Arts in its location in Göttingen provides a thorough education in the field. Precision engineering encompasses anything from micrometer-sized mechanical components for cameras to high-precision manufacturing machinery. During the course of study students will be trained in all essential processes of mechanical engineering such as calculation using FEM, comprehensive basic engineering knowledge, designing using CAD and etc. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are in high demand as engineers in both research institutes and enterprises. They are responsible for the development, production, quality assurance and product management.
