The six-semester study program “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” offered by University of Applied Sciences and Arts in its location in Holzminden provides students with comprehensive knowledge, which they can use to critically evaluate descriptive and action methods to social work. Students can choose their specialisation area – either social work with children and adolescents or with adults. Participants will also broaden their knowledge in media design and communication, group therapy, counselling and others. Incorporated to the curriculum, there are two practical phases. A distinguishing feature of the program is the emphasis on preparing students for the job market intensively. Graduates of the program have a wide range of job opportunities in the social work area. Another option for them is continuing their academic career, applying for a Master degree.
