Description
The voice is the most powerful natural instrument a person can have, but it needs to be trained and developed. Whether the main focus is on classical and operatic training, recital or concert performance, Voice students are provided with in-depth knowledge in vocal literature, language and diction, musical styles and different approaches to vocal technique. They can study subjects like Theoretical and Stylistic Analysis, Musical Aesthetics, Current Topics in Music, Musical Genres, Vocal Pedagogy, Song Repertoire, Opera Production and more. However, practical training is the more important aspect of Voice degrees. Through practice, students are taught how to use their voice in a healthy way, perform on stage, and authentically express themselves. Moreover they familiarize themselves with technical approaches to singing, voice function, phonetic analysis and knowledge about different styles and historical periods. Graduates are equipped with a range of technical, interpretive and practical skills, vocal techniques, rich repertoires, singing experience and theoretical knowledge. A degree in Voice studies opens the doors to a career as a performer, singer, voice coach, teacher, music artist, entrepreneur, production manager and many others.
