Mainz University of Applied Sciences, which emerged from the Academy of Painters and Sculptors in 1757, is a public university seated in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate. It has a total of round about 5,000 students enrolled. The University is divided into three schools: the School of Engineering (Department of Architecture, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Geoinformatics and Surveying), the School of Design (Department of Communication Design, Department of Media Design/Time-Based Media, Department of Interior Architecture), as well as the School of Business (Department of Business & International Business, Department of Business Law, Department of Business Informatics). Studies can be taken on a full-time/part-time, dual, vocationally integrated (on-the-job), and continuing education basis. The scope of dual studies includes the degree course programs “Business Administration“, “Geoinformatics and Surveying“, “Media, IT and Management“, as well as “Information Systems“. The range of part-time studies includes the study courses “Business Law“, and “Taxation“. Among the on-the-job studies offered are the study courses “Auditing“, “Business Administration“, “IT Management“, as well as “Management“. The study offer is complemented by a number of continuing education programs, including the Master degree courses “Geoinformatics“ and “Technical Property Management“, as well as the certificate course “Geoinformatics“. Depending on the respective degree course program, graduates of Mainz University of Applied Sciences receive a B.A., B.Sc, B.Eng., LL.B., M.A., M.Sc., M.Eng., LL.M., or M.Tax degree.
