The part-time study program “Master of Engineering in Geoinformatics” at the Mainz University of Applied Sciences has a length of four semesters. The goal of the course is to teach students to cope with components of practical computer science with special methods of acquisition, administration and analysis, and presentation of geodata from an engineering perspective. The syllabus contains the disciplines such as Image processing, Software Engineering and Databases, Georeferencing and data acquisition, and Data acquisition from figures. To apply, candidates must have a completed bachelor’s degree. Graduates pursue a career in geoinformation management, remote sensing, geospatial database administration, geoinformatics system development and other areas.
