Description
The degree program “Bachelor of Science in Central Banking” is offered by University of Applied Sciences of the Deutsche Bundesbank. It spans a standard duration of 3 years. During the course, participants acquire in-depth knowledge in business, economic relationships and basic knowledge of the German legal system. Moreover, the following is an amalgamation of theory and practice. The theoretical studies comprise a period of 22 months at the University of Applied Sciences in Hachenburg, which is located in the Westerwald. Whereas the practical studies are spent at the branches, regional offices and at the Bundesbank's Central Office. In addition, students are able to organize practical work experience at an appropriate institution outside the Bundesbank in Germany or abroad. Upon completion of the degree, graduates are initially accepted into the civil service on probation and into the permanent civil service. However, for admission to the course, a high level of proficiency in English is required as well as the presentation of a general higher education or university of applied sciences entrance qualification.
