The “Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science” course at the University of Bayreuth offers the students a broad range of basic skills in both practical and theoretical computer science. This program includes courses in mathematics and in the application subject in order to give students the ability to successfully solve complex problems using computer science methods, as well as deeper understanding of the relevant application subject. The main subjects of this course are bioinformatics, engineering informatics and business informatics and help the students to learn and understand the technical language of the chosen focus areas and implement their application systems. This course has variety of professional perspectives in the industry, medium-sized business or in public administration, digitization, IT controlling and IT management, as well as project management. The entry requirements include language skills (German or English) with at least B2 level.
