The University of Bayreuth offers the Master's degree "Master of Science in Automotive and Mechatronics", which provides the students with specialized engineering skills that are geared towards basic and application research in this technology-intensive branch of industry. The focus of this program is put on materials, processes, components and systems from the automotive industry and related branches of industry (machine tools, robotics). Also, the students are introduced to current engineering issues and familiarized with future-oriented solutions. Due to the well-founded and at the same time application-oriented training, the graduates are excellently qualified for demanding engineering jobs at car manufacturers, suppliers and related industries such as general mechanical engineering or automation technology. The entry requirements include a university degree or a degree in engineering science at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree, proof of an industrial internship of at least thirteen weeks, which must be proven within one year of enrolment, and language proficiency: German: DSH-2.
