The bachelor's degree “Bachelor of Science in Biology” at the University of Bayreuth provides the students with a basic scientific education and broad introduction to the biological sciences, including biotechnology, genetic engineering and ecology. This course is divided into four major parts: general scientific principles, biological principles, specialization and interdisciplinary skills. Thus, this program provides the students with ability to set their own priorities according to their professional interests and make a choice between molecular and cell biology and ecological and organic biology. As part of an independent research module, the students will be prepared for their bachelor thesis, which they will write during their third year of education. The entry requirements include general or relevant subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, as well as language skills certificate: German B2.
