The interdisciplinary master's program “Master of Science in Economathematics”, offered by the University of Bayreuth is an advanced scientifically oriented degree programme in mathematics with integrated elements from economics and computer science. Thus, a portion of the program is dedicated to economics (around 17% of the assessment components) and it introduce the students to areas such as supply chain management, financial management, investment management, game theory, and much more. The computer science, which also accounts for roughly 17% of the assessment components, students can select from the University’s entire spectrum of computer science courses, depending on their previous knowledge. During the seminars and the ten-month writing period for the master's thesis, students will develop ability to carry out independent scientific research. After completing the following Master’s course, the graduates will be qualified to work within different fields: in banks and insurance agencies, in the software and high-tech industry, and in the field of consulting. The entry requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Economathematics awarded by the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent qualification, as well as language skills: German: B2.
