Description
The two-year Master’s program “Master of Science in Economics” at the University of Bayreuth seeks to familiarize students with advanced methods of economic analysis and their applications, as well as to understand current theoretical and empirical methods of economics and how to response to specific problems. Throughout this program the students will be familiarized with the reasoning of internationally recognized economic research, as well as they will learn to adequately comprehend and evaluate scientific economic discussions of the past, present, and future. The enrolled students for this Master’s program in Economics at the University of Bayreuth receive a sound research-based education with a range of options to focus on personal scientific interests and prepares them for either a practical or a scientific career. The entry requirements include a degree (or completed course of studies) with an examination grade of “good” (2.5) or better in the bachelor’s programmes Economics, International Economics & Development, Business Administration, Philosophy & Economics, or Health Economics at the University of Bayreuth, or an equivalent degree, as well as language proficiency English: level B2; German: level A1.
