The University of Bayreuth offers the “Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies” program. This course provides the students with a basic specialist knowledge in literary, cultural and linguistic, with a focus on the Anglophone cultural area. Thus, it gives the students the ability to successfully take part in the constantly growing economic and cultural exchange between nations. During the course of their studies, students can choose one of the three areas of specialization: English studies (focus on English literature and cultural studies); American studies (focus on American literary and cultural studies) and linguistics (focus on English linguistics). There is also a completion of at least one internship or a stay abroad during the course of studies and the University of Bayreuth offers partnership with other European Universities. The entry requirements include general or relevant subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, as well as a language certificate (German, with at least B2 level).
