Description
The University of Bayreuth offers the Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Resource Technology”, which has a clear engineering focus, but it also integrates and teaches skills from other environmental and resource-related specialist disciplines. Thus, this program helps the students in the interdisciplinary part, as well as to learn geoscientific subjects, specially selected and tailored by the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geosciences for the students of the URT course. The students will also receive a broad-based engineering education, including the teaching of the mathematical and scientific basics. The educational process starts from methodological basis, followed by deeper learning process in engineering and the aspects in three engineering compulsory areas. The studying areas within this course relate to the environmental compartments of the hydrosphere, atmosphere, soil and biosphere, which is four compulsory and one elective areas. The entry requirements include general or relevant subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, as well as language skills certificate: German C1.
