The University of Bayreuth offers the Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Science in Geoecology – Environmental Sciences” that aims to better understand the functions of the environment and the mode of operation of biological, chemical and physical processes on earth. It also provides basic knowledge about the composition of ecosystems and about the processes, material and energy flows occurring in the environment. This bachelor's degree program consists of four phases in mathematics, statistics, physics and chemistry as well as basic ecological subjects, and the students acquire the necessary basic scientific knowledge during the first two semesters. The entry requirements include general or relevant subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, as well as a language skills certificate of German – B2.
