Description
The University of Bayreuth offers the Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Arts in Geographical Development Research in Africa”, which is aimed specifically at students who are interested in development processes and development cooperation in Africa. The main purpose of this program is to focus on the natural, social, political and economic conditions of transformation processes in Africa. This course provides the students with a knowledge about geography and African studies, physical and human geography, as well as theory-based, methodologically sound, regionally focused and application-related training. Thus, the students will learn the basis of selected and very specific geographical problems and questions about development processes in Africa and this bachelor’s degree will give them the ability to transfer the knowledge they have acquired to other regional contexts and prepares them for activities in different professional fields. The entry requirements include a general or relevant subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, as well as language certificate: German B2.
