The University of Bayreuth offers the Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Arts in German Studies”, by which the students receive training in German linguistics and literary studies, with practical and professional key qualifications from didactics, media studies is supplemented. The main purpose of this program is to enable the students to independently apply the language, literature and media science skills they have acquired and to provide additional overview and detailed knowledge in their own work. With this Bachelor’s degree the students will have a wide range of professional activities open to them in the areas of publishing, educational and cultural institutions, public relations, as well as within print media, new media, television and radio, libraries and documentation centers. The entry requirements include general university entrance qualification or professional qualification, as well as language skills certificate: German DSH-2.
