The Master's degree “Master of Arts in History in Science and Practice” provides the students with the skills they need to present historical content in an academic context, as well as to a broader audience in a well-founded and successful manner and to apply historical expertise in different contexts. Thus, the graduates of this course will be able to independently design projects for the application and communication of history, implement them in a team and evaluate them in a scientifically sound manner. The course also attaches importance to a technical qualification in historical sub-disciplines and enables the students to develop a profile in individual areas of history. The skills acquired by the students in the University of Bayreuth open up a wide range of academic and non-academic career opportunities at universities, academies, research institutions, exhibitions, in museums, archives and libraries, in journalism and (digital) public relations, etc. The entry requirements include a university degree with at least the examination grade “good” (2.5) in the bachelor's degree in history at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree, as well as linguistic proficiency German: B2; English: B2.
