The University of Bayreuth offers the partly English-language study program “Master of Arts in International Economics and Governance”, which is based on the latest research. This course gives the students the ability to learn and analyse the mutual effects of actors in business, politics and society. The master’s program starts with (advanced) basics in the areas of “governance” and “international economics”, where the focus here is put on analysis from the areas of governance and competition, public finance, corporate finance and capital markets, business ethics, monetary and currency, as well as international corporate management. Later on, the specializations are built on these prerequisites, in which the students can follow their particular professional interests and professional goals. There is also a choice of courses from the areas of “Governance & Public Management” and “Economic Modeling & Empirical Analysis”. Due to their interdisciplinary training, which interlinks research and practice, the graduates are ideally qualified for responsible activities in companies, banks, insurance companies, international organizations, research institutes, in the public service, chambers and associations. The entry requirements include a university degree (or a completed degree) with at least the examination grade “good” (2.5) in the bachelor’s degree courses in Economics, International Economics and Development, Business Administration, “Philosophy and Economics” and Health Economics at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree, as well as linguistic proficiency German: B2.
