Description
The Master’s degree "Master of Science in Materials Chemistry and Catalysis" at the University of Bayreuth enables students to successfully shape this development, with a high level of professional competence. The focus of this course is put on new material concepts such as nanomaterials, hybrid materials, composites, colloidal molecules, surface-active materials or biomimetic materials and the design of catalysts. Furthermore, this master’s program is aimed at students who have a keen interest in the fundamentals of materials and catalysis research, as well as those who want to work on the development of high-performance materials and catalysts with a high level of expertise and creativity, and who strive for a responsible position in companies, research institutes or universities. The graduates are excellently qualified for a variety of professional fields in the chemical industry and related branches of the economy, as well as both large and medium-sized companies have an increasing need for excellently trained specialists in the field of materials chemistry. The entry requirements include a degree in chemistry or polymer and colloid chemistry or biochemistry at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree and a linguistic proficiency German: B2.
