The University of Bayreuth offers the Bachelor’s degree “Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Materials Engineering” that provides in-depth knowledge to the students, in order to give them the ability to take into account material science, mechanical, chemical and ecological aspects in the development of complex systems. Thus, it teaches the methods for applying this knowledge within the innovation and technology management. The future graduates from this course will be excellently prepared to apply their knowledge in the areas of high-tech products, as well as to combine the automotive industry, energy technology and aerospace to form an optimal overall system. The main studying areas include: process engineering, materials technology, engineering basics as well as material properties and material analysis. The entry requirements for this program are general or relevant subject-related higher education entrance qualification or professional qualification, as well as language skills: German C1.
