Description


The aim of the Master’s program “Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering” is to train highly qualified managers and innovators, who have a strong desire towards management positions in both research and business. Due to the close cooperation of the faculty with research centres and institutions from the economy, students will be involved in current problems and research projects, followed by a demanding master’s thesis of the individuals’ practical studies at the engineering faculty. There are many career prospects after this Master’s degree, such as management positions in the areas of research, development, testing and certification, as well as the cross-sectional knowledge opens the students a wide range of perspectives in classic mechanical engineering and in aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials science, process engineering. The entry requirements include a university degree (or a completed degree) in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science or an equivalent degree, as well as a proof of an industrial internship of at least thirteen weeks, which must be provided within one year of enrolment, details of the content and evidence of the industrial internship are regulated by the internship regulations of the Faculty of Engineering. Also, linguistic proficiency is needed – German: DSH2.
