Description
The Master’s course “Master of Science in Molecular Ecology” at the University of Bayreuth focuses on two field “Ecology and Environmental Sciences” and “Molecular Biosciences”. The main purpose of this Master’s degree is to provide the students further knowledge on the molecular mechanisms with which microorganisms, plants and animals adapt to biotic and abiotic environmental factors, as well as the molecular interrelationships between the organisms. This "Molecular Ecology" course is aimed at students with a strong interest in ecological and molecular biological issues. It builds on the bachelor's degree in biology (molecular or organismic branch) at the University of Bayreuth. It is also open to graduates from related courses at the University of Bayreuth or from other universities in Germany and abroad. The entry requirements include a degree with at least a grade of “good” (2.5) in the bachelor's degree courses in biology or biochemistry (with at least one elective module from biology) at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree, as well as linguistic proficiency German: B2.
