The Master’s program “Master of Arts in Philosophy and Economics” views economics and philosophy and their integration as methods for analysing allocation, distributive, and institutional mechanisms in a world that is in need of new global governance structures. This two-year international Master’s degree is organized and taught by the Departments of Philosophy and Economics, provides a rigorous graduate-level education in core areas of economics and analytic philosophy. Thus, the Bayreuth’s MA in Philosophy & Economics is an advanced degree that applies to those, who are prepared to undertake rigorous cross-disciplinary training and who care about shaping the world. The entry requirements include completion of “2.0” or better in the bachelor’s degrees in Economics, Philosophy & Economics, or International Economics & Development at the University of Bayreuth, or an equivalent degree, as well as language skills: English: level B2; German: level A1.
