Description


The Master’s course “Master of Science in Sports Technology” enables the students to work competently and creatively on innovative sports concepts. The interdisciplinary orientation of the course promotes the ability to develop sports technologies from the latest research results in sports and engineering and to establish them in practice. The learning process combines dealing with materials science or product development in engineering, four areas in sports science, between which the students can freely choose: health and fitness, training-performance-competition, sports ecology and sports management. Thus, the provided well-founded and industry-related training qualifies graduates for careers in research, as well as for management positions in the sporting goods industry and other areas of politics, sports facility construction and business. The entry requirements include a university degree (or a completed degree) with at least the examination grade "good" (2.5) in one of the following courses: Bachelor's degree in sports economics, engineering science, industrial engineering, materials science and materials technology at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree, Bachelor's degree in vocational education specializing in metal technology at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree, Teaching-related bachelor's degree with a focus on sport at the University of Bayreuth or an equivalent degree and Bachelor's degree in sports science at a domestic or foreign university or an equivalent degree. The language skills are also needed – German: B2.
