Description
The bachelor's degree "Bachelor of Education in Vocational Education in Metal Technology" is a part technical education for the later teaching profession. This course is a preparation for the subsequent master’s degree, as well as it helps the individuals to gain knowledge of the subject and the educational sciences in order to ensure the greatest possible variability of the graduates. The following program is based on the bachelor courses "Materials Science and Technology" and "Engineering Science" and consists a content from the professional subject (metal technology), educational sciences and one of seven selectable subjects (chemistry, German, English, computer science, mathematics, physics and sport). There is also an internship that must be completed before and during the studies, such as an orientation internship with a duration of 3 to 4 weeks, a pedagogical-didactic school internship with a scope of 150 to 160 teaching hours, as well as a 48-week guided internship. The entry requirements include general higher education entrance qualification or relevant subject-specific higher education entrance qualification in accordance with the ordinance of the Free State of Bavaria and the state-recognized non-state universities in the currently applicable version or an equivalent university entrance qualification, as well as English or German certificate qualification.
