The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology of the Americas” is offered by the Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. The objection of this particular program is to study the history and present of the native people of South and Central America and thier worldwide connections. Archeological, historical, cultural and anthropological research are coalesced within the curriculum, which gives interdisciplinary perspectives. Students are required to study Amerindian language, and also they can shape their individual profile by choosing regional focus (South or Central America). There is an internship program, which will lasts several weeks and participants can use it as a career orientation. Graduates acquire expert learnings and skills to help them occupy positions in museum business, international organizations, foundations or public relations.
