The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Ancient Latin Literature and its Tradition” is offered at the University of Bonn. It is focused on providing students with cognitions of Roman and Greek antiquity and their impact on language, literature and culture. Throughout the study course, students gain knowledge about noteworthy ancient texts, which denote Europe identity and essential milestones of their history of influence. The study of Greek and Latin literature in history dimension, enables participants to interpret and translate original texts. There is a strong emphasis on research education via philological-editorial work and application of recent literary theories to historical texts. Graduates are in hight demand in spheres of research institutions, cultural organizations, consulting and media.
