The combinational degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology of the Americas” offered at the Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn has a duration of six semesters and it is concerned with the cultural development in Latin America. The curriculum consists of subjects which give insight on the history and present of local societies in Central and South America as well as their global connections. Students can learn Amerindial language and choose regional focus (Central or South America). There is a strong emphasis on analyzing cultural developments in their historical depth. Participants may attend internship for several weeks, where they can apply academic learnings in a work environment. Possible future job positions are at international organizations, public relations, foundations and educational institutions.
