Description
The Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn offers the six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Archaeologies” which gives attention to the advanced study of the all branches in the archaeology. The curriculum includes several specializations in which applicants can receive in-depth knowledge, among which are Classical Archaeology, Prehistoric and Early Historic Archaeology, Christian Archaeology, and Egyptology. In the Classical archaeology, students will acquire knowledge in the ancient Mediterranean region and the culture of the pristine Greeks and Romans. Early historic archaeology puts emphasis on different ages (Stone, Bronze and Iron), as well as cultural progress within Europe. On the other hand, Christian archaeology focuses on inheritances from Late Antiquity and the Early Byzantine period, while Egyptology is geared toward the advanced Egyptian civilization, more specifically language, culture and religion.
