The consecutive, practice-oriented degree program “Master of Arts in Art History” has a duration of four semesters and it is held at the Universiy of Bonn. Students gain significant knowledge about methodology and procedures of art historical analysis and further develop their acquaintance of medieval, modern, and contemporary works of art. There is a transdisciplinary contextual research or module of derivation research, which round off the study course. Applicants can specialize and shape their individual profile in History (Medieval or Modern emphasis), Romance Studies, Archaeological Sciences (Classical Archaeology or Christian Archaeology emphasis), Comparative Literature, German Studies, and Museum Studies. After completing the program, participants can work as highly competent employees in the areas of conservation of historical monuments, public relations, research institutions ot science management.
