The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Art History” offered at the University of Bonn consists of six semesters. It is designed to provide students with academic learnings about the origin, appearance and function of international art, art movement, mass media and different periods from the Middle Ages to modern times. Applicants receive profound knowledge about classical artistic media, architecture, graphics, arts and crafts, painting and sculpture and get an insight of historical, sociological, aesthetic and historical dimesion of works of art. The practical aspect within the study course is manifested via object study, assignments and trips. After completing the program, participants are in high demand in fields of science management, cultural institutions, research institutions or tourism.
