The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Celtic Studies” provided at the University of Bonn lasts six semesters. Applicants gain knowledge about contemporary literatures and cultures, basics of Celtic history and methodology of Celtic studies in this particular course of study. The syllabus, also includes modules in which modern and medieval Celtic language variations will be taught. Participants will extend their education level by learning Irish Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic and Cymric (Welsh) languages. After completing the entire academic period, graduates will possess outstanding skills about Celtic language, history and culture, so they will be qualified as workers at Goethe Institutes, cultural institutes, embassies, public relations, libraries and museums.
