The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies” is offered at the Universiy of Bonn. It is taught in both Spanish and German, and it is focused on providing applicants with profound knowledge about linguistic, literary and cultural studies of the Spanish language. The linguistic within the curriculum deals with phonology, word formation, syntax and so, participants become familiar with the derivation, evolution and current state of the Spanish language. The field of literary studies includes learnings of Spanish literatures' chronicle and methodology of literary research. Political and educational system, economic and social structure in the Spanish-speaking countries are taught in the part of the Cultural studies. Future job prospects are in the areas of education, science management, as well as in international organizations, European institutions or embassies.
