Description
The double-subject degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Studies” offered at the University of Bonn has a duration of six semesters and is taught in German and Spanish. The syllabus consists of linguistics, literary studies and cultural studies of the Spanish language. Participants will gain academic knowledge about theories and processes of linguistic and comprehensive learnings about Spanish language in terms of its origin, evolution and recent conditions. Methodology and theories of literary research and examinaiton of literature’s history of different venues are central component of the Literary studies. The knowledge focused on various cultures and distinct countries is conveyed in Cultural Studies. Along with that, students learn about political and educational system, ecomonic and social structures of the Spanish-speaking countries. Future job prospects are in wide range and participants take work positions at research institutions, universities, institutions of European Union, embassies, journalism or administrations.
