The main purpose is to impart deep learnings about the functions of intricate immune system and what changes occur when disease have impact on the immune system, so one can take action to prevent it. Furthermore, applicants gain knowledge about model organisms and in vitro practices for learning the immune system and its essential cells. During the program, students will use coherent approaches in functional genomics, epigenetics, and elaborated bioinformatics in order to understand the complex regulation and communication in the immune system. The potential job opportunities can be found at research institutes of the Max Planck Society, areas of marketing industry, in clinical disciplines or universities.
