The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies” at the University of Bonn consists of six semesters, taught in both German and Italian. Throughout the entire study program, applicants will learn about the literature, features, culture and linguistic of the Italian language. The derivation, evolution and recent condition of the language fall into the linguistic area. Literary studies cope with the history of literature from different time periods, as well as genres, authors and works. Participants learn about the methodology of literary research. In the cultural studies, students will receive specific knowledge about the country and theories and models in terms of different cultures. Graduates can find work as competent workers at cultural institutions, cultural management, embassies, universities, research institutions and administrations.
