Description
The University of Bonn offers the six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies” which is taught in both German and Italian. Within the study course, students will become familiar with all characteristics, literatures and culture of the Italian language, which is started off from Latin. In the margin of linguistics, applicants gain knowledge about the origin, development and current condition of the Italian language. The history of the literature, in terms of Ages, authors, works and genres takes place in the Literary studies. Also, participants learn about implements and methods of Literary research. Through cultural studies, graduates gain not only academic information about theories and methodology of different cultures, but also inforation about Political systems, economic and social structures, landscapes and the educational system in the Italian-speaking countries in regard of different time periods. Future job prospects are in fields of administration, science management, communication, journalism, regional culture work and research.
