The subsequent degree program “Master of Education in Latin” at the University of Bonn encompasses four semesters. Throughout the whole study course, participants obtain essential and elaborated knowledge Latin literature, language and cultural studies. The dilation of the academic learnings is expressed via cognition in areas of lexis, syntax and stylistics and translation of more complex German texts into Latin. Research issues, systems of the Latin philology and recent review on authors, genres, epochs of Latin literature take place within the study course. In contrast to the bachelor's program, this study course is focused more on educational sciences and subject didactics. In order to teach at grammar and comprehensive schools, two subjects are required to be studied. The internship semester is intended to link theory-practice. Future job opportunities are to be found in cultural institutions, tourism, consulting, as well as in educational or research institutions.
