Description
Environmental and climate changes are a global threat concerning all aspects of Agriculture. Agricultural Meteorology & Agricultural Climatology studies are concerned with the relationship between the weather and the land, and how the climate affects crop and livestock production. They teach students how to expand and enhance crops, understand the significance of climate and help farmers make the right decisions to better production. Subjects learned during the program include Atmospheric Science, Geography, Environmental Sciences and Technology. Because climate change is a current problem, students have the opportunity to research and analyze how it is connected to agriculture and what solutions can be effective. Sustainability and preservation strategies are encouraged and skills such as risk management, critical thinking and broad understanding of physical and atmospheric processes can be gained during the study. Graduates are in demand on the job market and can find work in a number of establishments and areas – for example, consulting businesses, nongovernment organizations, educational facilities, research labs, rural development and watershed management.
