Description
The consecutive degree program “Master of Arts in Old Catholic and Ecumenical Theology” offered at the Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn consists of four semesters and it is wholly focused on providing students with profound acumen into Old Catholic theology and ecumenical-theological and interreligious issues. The curriculum includes lectures in Old and Roman Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox and Anglican religions. Along with that, applicants will gain knoweldge in Old Catholic Seminary, which is the only one of its kind in Germany. Courses in Jewish- Christian and Muslim-Christian dialogue round off the program. There is a strong emphasis on practical experience through lectures and works in ecclesiastical and non-ecclesiastical advancement fields. By joining the Anglican-Old Catholic Theologians’ Conference, students can establish bonds with many theologians from other European countries. Potential future job positions are pastors in the German Old Catholic Church, lecturers in the ecumenical and science, journalists, and book traders.
