The six-semester, degree program “Teaching Bachelor: Latin” is offered by the University of Bonn. Participants obtain knowledge about ancient texts essential for Europe identity and important stages in their history of influence. Consequently, the academic study of Latin and Greek literature is in the historical background. Applicants can understand and translate original texts in Latin and Greek. Research aspect of the program is expressed via  philological-editorial work, history of admission and transmission of Greek and Latin texts. Students can also choose optional courses in order to shape their own profile, based on their interest. After completing the program successfully, students possess the necessary competencies to commence work positions in the areas of science management, in research institutions, cultural organizations, and consulting.
