The six-semester study program “Bachelor of Arts in Catholic Religion” offered by University of Erfurt provides students with a comprehensive theoretical and didactic knowledge via classes in theological subjects. Students are taught to think independently, but also learn how to teach the content. Students gain understanding about the Bible`s roots and contents, as well as about the Bible`s current context and other important facts about it. The program also focuses on the tradition of the church, ethics, liturgy and etc. Outside of the church, the program`s graduates are employed in the following areas: state ministries, library, PR consultancy, public housing administration and etc. When it comes to positions within the church field, graduates work as cardinals, bishops, pastors, teachers of religion, and etc.
