The study program “Master of Arts in Democracy and Economics” offered by University of Erfurt provides an education in two disciplines, namely political science and sociology, and economics. Students learn how to analyse the relations of democratic and economic orders, while putting an emphasize on political science and economics. As part of the research-based curriculum, students are taught theories, interdisciplinary approaches and specialized skills. Participants are not only given the material necessities for good involvement in doctoral programs in the field of political science and economics, but they are also provided skills required for jobs in the challenging, particularly scientific technical fields that are placed at the intersection of politics and economics. Graduates of the program can decide on pursuing an academic career or building one in the fields of public administration, government staffs, companies and associations.
