The study program “Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies” offered by University of Erfurt provides not only intensive language instruction but also promotes analytical thought, improves intercultural competences and discursive skills in both the native language and a foreign one. Students receive comprehensive English language instruction, and are taught about English`s structure and origins. Moreover, they learn how to analyse English literature pieces and deepen their knowledge about Anglophone countries` culture and history. Graduates can choose from either teaching at schools and colleges or entering one of the many other possible job fields, such as translation, publishing, journalism, marketing and advertising, and etc.
