The study program “Bachelor of Arts in German Studies” offered by University of Erfurt provides a thorough education in German language and literature using scientific approaches. Some of the topics that are addressed throughout the Linguistics courses are linguistics varieties, use of German in media and in communication, German language history and other relevant themes. In the German literature classes students are taught about the structures and functions of literary pieces, questions of historical poets and etc. Graduates who want to become teachers at schools, firs need to do a Master degree of education. Other options for the program`s graduates are the fields of management consulting, publishing, cultural management, and etc.
